color: #444444; line-height: 1.5;\">Jointly Funded by Northern Gas Networks, The Warley Trust, the Community Development Fund \u00a0and Warley Community Association. \u00a0Completed in 2012<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">One of the things many people had talked about was to have somewhere to wander &#8211; a quiet path away from busy roads but close to the centre of the village. \u00a0Somewhere for children to learn about nature &amp; heritage in safety.\u00a0 As a result the Community Association launched The Green Trail project in 2011<\/span><\/p>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"line-height: 24px;\">The first stage of the project was to plant<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0fruit trees and bushes alongside the playing fields and next to the existing community compost bins and so began a Green Trail which would eventually link the village school, cricket ground, allotments and the graveyard<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><a style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5;\" href=\"http:\/\/warleyca.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/03\/20120901-333.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/warleyca.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/03\/20120901-333.jpg?w=224\" alt=\"20120901- 333\" width=\"224\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<a style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5;\" href=\"http:\/\/warleyca.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/002.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/warleyca.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/002.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"002\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">With an initial grant of \u00a32,000 from <a title=\"Northern Green Networks\" href=\"http:\/\/www.northerngasnetworks.co.uk\/cms\/164.html\">Northern Gas Networks<\/a>, work continued with the clearance of neglected areas in the graveyard \u00a0and included crown lifting some mature trees and planting herbaceous borders and small shrubs to encourage a greater diversity of wildlife<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a style=\"line-height: 1.5;\" href=\"http:\/\/warleyca.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/007.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/warleyca.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/007.jpg?w=225\" alt=\"007\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"line-height: 1.5;\" href=\"http:\/\/warleyca.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/10\/panoramaboard2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/warleyca.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/10\/panoramaboard2.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"panoramaboard2\" width=\"375\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">This work was followed by the creation of areas for children to learn about the history of the village and wildlife living in the area. \u00a0Finally a seating area and panorama\u00a0<\/span>board highlighting points of interest up and down the Calder &amp;
