Several years ago, the Community Association helped plant many fruit trees on the main recreation field, alongside the wall bordering the allotments. They were mainly apple trees, with a plum tree or two. Since then, several have died so this year (2024), we organised the planting of a handful of new trees, this time pears. Our thanks to the members of the community who paid for these in honour of family members.

Once these trees mature, probably in about 3 years, there will hopefully be pears to add to the apples that people in Warley can come and pick in the autumns.
